NEW ITEMS IN MY SHOP

I have finally had the time and more importantly inspiration, to make new items for my shop. There are new STRING shelves in lots of different colours

and all kinds of rugs I like to use in my scenes. I thought you might like them as well.
Also newly added is the Mid Century sideboard I made last month.

And there is more stuff to follow in the next couple of days... more furniture and pillows!

I'm still super busy with non-miniature work but I just had to share some photos of this amazing house with you! Last month I was contacted by a very talented set designer from Berlin who was after a few of my furniture pieces. Her job was to build a modern dolls' house to be used as a pretty important prop in a film (I can't go into details yet). After a couple of Skype conversations I agreed to lend a large part of my 1:16 collection to her and here you have the result! Isn't this house incredible? My favourite part is definitely the wooden ceiling - very mid-century modern.
I will let you know as soon as the film is out.

THE LABOUR OF THE LAST TWO MONTHS

This is what I've been working on for the past two months - a pretty large order of furniture and two iMacs for a shop in Barcelona. This also gave me the chance to use my brand spanking new rubber stamp! You can see more detailed shots of the pieces on my Flickr.

SMALL MAGAZINE

Today a little interview was published about my miniatures in Small Magazine. Please head over - it's a wonderful publication with beautiful illustrations and photography.

WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

Here's a quick update and a picture of what I've been working on. Each one of these cushions take a couple of months to finish! I'm also very busy on a large furniture order and will add new items to my Etsy - including the bench pictured above - hopefully soon.

LUNDBY

Last week I went to Berlin and found these amazing Lundby pieces in a junk shop. They came with a two room Lundby house, which I believe is the ground floor of the "Post Order House" shown here. Does anyone know more about it?
I love the reduced colour palette of the walls, floors and furniture.
Over the years I have collected a few pieces of 1:16 furniture but this is my very first scene in a smaller scale. I think I'm hooked...
