Just to let you know - I have now found a way of reducing the shipping for the larger items in my Etsy shop. :-)

NEW ITEMS!

I have just added a few more bits to my Etsy shop - most importantly a wall shelf inspired by the classic STRING shelves I love so much (Thanks for the encouragement, Oese!).
I have also been sewing loads and have made tons of pillows. My favourite ones are the red vintage ones.

I'm still trying to work out if there is a cheaper way of posting from Switzerland - the prices are just ridiculously high! Basically they charge the same price for anything up to 500g no matter what size it is... If you are interested in anything, please e-mail me and we can work out something together.

ETSY SHOP

I just wanted to let you know that I've opened my very own shop on Etsy today! I have added a few pieces and will add more when I get round to it. At the moment I'm concentrating on smaller pieces - but everything very Mid-century modern. If you have any ideas of what you would like to see in the shop - let me know...!

NEW HOME - NEW PROJECT

Finally after a couple of busy months with moving country and getting married I'm back making miniatures! I've uploaded a first preview of the current project - a real living miniature garden with summer house - onto flickr. The summer house is inspired by my parents' house here in Switzerland.

ARTICLE IN THE GUARDIAN

Sorry for the long silence - I've just moved back to Switzerland two weeks ago and I'm getting married on Friday so there is not much time for miniatures at the moment! I thought I'd share this article that was published in today's Guardian.
Hopefully see you soon - I still enjoy reading your posts every day!

VISIT FROM ELF

It seems that it's the month of modern mini meet ups! Elizabeth from ELF Miniatures came to visit me on Sunday. She brought a huge suitcase full of her fabulous furniture and bathrooms and we arranged them in my Brighton house to photograph. We had so much fun putting the scenes together - here are a first few shots. I will upload the rest onto flickr probably tomorrow. The perfect way to spend a Sunday!

BRIGHTON TOY AND MODEL MUSEUM

I've finally found the time to go and visit the Brighton Toy and Model Museum today. My main mission was to find Rebecca's grandmother's doll's houses. I found two of them, but unfortunately they were really high up and not lit properly, so the photos are not great. But it was lovely to be able to see them in real.

There was also this dolls' house but I don't think this was one of Rebecca's grandmother's ones.

My favourite part was this cabinet - not technically dolls' houses but very inspiring!

I've just uploaded some new photos onto Flickr. They are a first glimpse of my new project, a series of contemporary hotel rooms. This first one is a cheap typically British hotel room...
